Why I Am a Mormon:

Being born of and raised by active, faithful members of The Church certainly constitutes a large factor in my being Mormon. More significantly, though, I'm a Mormon because I myself believe and have a personal, deep and abiding testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel as restored to this Earth by Jesus Christ Himself through the Prophet Joseph Smith and the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know this because I have felt the Mighty Hand of the Lord work actively, even miraculously, at work in my life many, many times. I have felt my burdens lifted through His great and redeeming sacrifice more times than I can count. I have felt the witness of the Holy Spirit testifying to me of the truth of all things.

How I Live My Faith:

I am a very active member of the Young Single Adult congregation in my area. I go to church on Sunday and participate in the various social activities (health-permitting) throughout the week. I sing in the Albuquerque Young Adult Choir and do dramatic readings of various works of fantasy fiction, most notably J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia. I also have been called to maintain membership records, website technologies, and e-mail communications for my congregation. Most importantly, though, I live my faith by continually striving to keep the Lord's commandments and honor the covenants that I have made to Him.
